Silk-screening, Booksale on Saturday 9/13, 1-4pm

CAMP has some kick-ass silkscreens, designed by our super-awesome 2008 summer intern Katie Ford, and they're for sale! Check them out:

We will be doing silkscreens WHILE U WAIT this coming Saturday 9/13 1-4pm, during the Cherokee St. Mexican Independence Day Celebration. Buy a T-shirt or bring your own item to silkscreen. Adult sizes are $4, children's sizes $2, $1 for a self-screen. Once the ink dries, we'll set the print using dryers at the neighboring laundromat.

Reminder: CAMP BBQ Booksale 8/21 7pm

A reminder: Booksale and potluck BBQ in CAMP's back yard, tomorrow, Thursday 8/21, starting at 7pm!!

We will be selling off lots of titles from our zine library to make space for a new etching printer. (Yes, that includes all the back issues of Adbusters.) Books of all colors, varieties, textures, and smells! Email library@stlcamp.org for more info on the books for sale.

BPB is back for a short show at the Contemporary Art Museum, as part of their Playground of the Ridiculous (http://www.contemporarystl.org/playground.php) series.
Playground of the Ridiculous is a free event with cheap beer, 6pm to 10pm (with BPB stuck snuggly in, close to 7pm, Don't Be Late!! in fact be EARLY! and see some amazing poetry and art, followed by bands!)

Super Summer Salad Buffet @ Black Bear Bakery 6/19 6pm

Come to our monthly fundraiser, a salad buffet to be held Thursday, June 19th, starting at 6pm! We'll be serving at the worker-owned, delightfully air-conditioned, Black Bear Bakery, down the street at 2639 Cherokee St. We're seeking sliding-scale donations of $5-10. If you only want to see the movies, come around 8 pm and only pay $1!!! If you come for dinner, the movies are free.

Criss Cross Circus at CAMP 5/31!

This summer, a high spirited troupe of students from Hampshire College are crossing the US on a traveling performance adventure to spread the imaginative spirit of circus along with a message of environmental concern. They'll be traveling in a colorful bus that runs on used vegetable oil.

Tentative schedule:
4 pm - get together in back yard for a parade around the neighborhood
5 pm - start the shows, blaqueberrie puppet show first, then criss cross circus
7 pm - potluck dinner / bbq / bonfire / party in backyard
also, a Bake Sale to support CAMP. Cupcakes by Boi Bella.

CAMP dance party on Thursday 5/22, 7-midnite!!!

Come welcome in summer and kick off CAMP's summer programming (art projects, movie nights, more open computer time, southside university classes, a garden in full bloom, etc!) with a hot dance party.
