Our Youth are Dying inside-out
Our youth are suffering from an emotional condition geared and guided by neglect and disappointment. We are failing them with our egotistical behaviors motivated by self-succeeding priorities. When our children are forced to go along with the dicissions of an unorganized group of self-rightous leaders with their own agendas, that are more apt to look better on a resume' rather than on test results, our children are the losers. The St. Louis Public School system is failing their own academic test; test of ethics and management, and our children can't recognize themselves in the equation. The School Board is airing their dirty laundry in the media and the parents are giving up on the fight for equal education for all. The County Schools are putting our schools to shame, and even though the School Board boast competiveness in current academic standings, our children's behavior in and out of the school is a perfect example of the lack of leadership present in their homes and institutions. There are community organizations pleaing for an opportunity to make a difference and they are being shunned; are told that their ideas are good but there're no funds available to meet them. When this happens, these organizations are forced to compete with the very institutions that they originally organized to assist. What are we going to do?
