St. Frances Cabrini Academy invites you to an exhibit of art blended with
ecology. In collaboration with the South City Open Studio and Gallery this
year, Artist-in-Residence Emily Hemeyer enriched the educational experience
of Cabrini students through her creative and innovative art instruction. In
this exhibit sponsored by the Incarnate Word Foundation, students in each
grade worked together to create pieces that transform recycled and reused
materials into unique works of art. Showcasing the school's commitment to
its neighborhood, the exhibit will be held along the growing Cherokee Station
Business District. The venue, a photo storefront in the process of being
rehabbed, will soon be home to another entrepreneur in this historic and
diverse community. Just as the artwork breathes new life into old objects,
the community of South City is achieving success through the infusion of
new life into aging buildings and homes.
Come celebrate the vibrancy of art, our school, and our city!
The exhibit is free of charge. Light refreshments will be served.
