I know this is a shot in the dark...

I have completed the first leg of my cross-country bike adventure, and am now seeking someone to bike with me the rest of the way from St.Louis, MO to Santa Cruz, CA. I was planning on meeting my bike partner in St.Louis who was travelling from Chicago, but alas he pulled out of the trip at the last second.

About the trip: 70-100 miles/day; explore interesting sites along the way and take 1-2 break days/week. My original route has changed since it's getting late in the season, so now I'm envisioning biking south through MO Ozarks to Arkansas through Oklahoma/Texas to New Mexico through Arizona to Nevada and on to California. I'm hoping to arrive in Santa Cruz before Thanksgiving. Keeping it cheap- I would ideally like to find someone who'd be interested in dumpster diving food with me, sharing costs, etc. and someone who'd be up for hitchhiking if bikes break down. My estimated date of departure is October 22nd.

About me: mid twenties, white male currently residing in Minneapolis. I'm a preschool teacher on an "unpaid sybatical" of sorts. I'm in the left-radical spectrum, and would love to find someone who might want to share in rants with me along the way. I've been planning this trip since last year, but now things are all askew. I'm open to biking with anyone that might be open to biking with me.

So, as I said this is definitely a shot in the dark, but if you're looking for meaning in your life and think that you might find it on a bike adventure with a stranger, look me up!
