Veterans For Peace presents the world premiere of VEIL OF SILENCE, a new play by Andrew Michael Neiman and Suzanne Renard. This play deals with a subject that has been conspicuously absent from the American stage: the costs of the current war and how it comes home in our veterans’ life-long battles with injury and trauma.

The protagonist of VEIL OF SILENCE is Aaron, a U.S. Marine, recently returned home after completing a haunting tour in Iraq. His overseas “mission accomplished,” he must now confront an equally terrifying challenge: resuming life as husband, father and friend as a man irrevocably altered. At the patient urging of his wife, Amy, Aaron begins to share his experiences. Instead of relieving him of his pain, however, facing these traumatic events head-on further torments Aaron, testing his psychological fortitude as well as the love of the woman closest to him.

VEIL OF SILENCE will run the first two weekends in November.
