The 17th Annual Great Green Pesto Feast is one of the
best vegetarian dinners in St. Louis. Tim Montague
and Naomi Davis will speak on "From Climate Chaos to
Global Justice."
Americans have begun to wrestle with the realities of
a fossil fueled economy -- war, waste, and
social/ecological disruption. The globalized
industrial economy (including food, transportation,
housing and energy systems) causes us to live off the
health and well-being of the poor, people of color and
future generations.
We need to press for more innovation in the areas of
zero waste manufacturing, green building/chemistry,
and focus on creating green collar jobs that are good
for people, good for communities and that ensure a
livable planet for future generations.
Tim Montague is the Associate Director of
Environmental Research where he is contributing editor
of Rachel's Democracy & Health News.
Naomi Davis is President of Daughter's Trust/The
Village Builders, which has introduced a new paradigm
of green economic development for African American
communities.
Sponsored by the Gateway Green Alliance.
