To me it seems like there is a feeling of sadness in the air right now. When this happens things feel out of balance. It becomes hard to act and stay connected to what is alive in us and our communities.
Let's hold space for a cathartic atmosphere to reconnect with ourselves and each other in order to live our lives with a passion and desire liberated from the cages of this culture.
WHEN THE WORLD IS SICK CAN NO ONE BE WELL. BUT I DREAMT WE WERE BEAUTIFUL AND STRONG.
discussions, workshops, exercises, dancing, games, magic and more are planned!
General Membership Meeting
WHEN: December 19 7 p.m.
WHERE: CAMP (3026 Cherokee), 2nd floor
As most of you know CAMP has been open for several months and there has been
an afterschool program running as part of the free skool (Southside
University). Myself and others would like to start talking (again) about
broadening the scope of SSU free skool. I know there are some people who
wanted to start up classes in the past (before the space opened) and Im sure
there are lots of others that have interest....SO,
Anyone who has ANY interest in getting together to discuss what the free
skool would look like, sound like, smell like, and taste like please come to
Film to be chosen soon. Watch this space!!
Or make a suggestion. Here is our running list:

The Icarus Project is a group of people who get together to talk about mental wellness and emotional health. Sometimes we talk about ourselves and what is happening in our lives. Sometimes we talk about diagnosis labels and non-violent communication. It's a little different every time, but we always learn something. Come share with us! Every Sunday at 7:00 pm in the Library Room at CAMP.
Location: every Sunday Community Arts and Media Project (Cherokee@Minnesota) seven pm.
email: saintlouis(at)theicarusproject(dot)net for questions, directions, or requests to change space/time of meetings
Interested in radical mental health? Feeling lost, alone, unsupported or crazy in a crazy world? Feeling like you have something to give or something you need? Come join with us as we visualize an Icarus Project-esque mutual aid group here in Saint Louis.
(Also, we like snacks. Bring snacks.)
