CAPCR's campaign for Local Control of the St. Louis Police Department is moving
into Phase 2 with an aldermanic hearing this week. The Public Safety
Committee will meet to discuss a resolution, introduced by the Black
Caucus, supporting Local Control. A good turnout by the community will let
them know that this is an issue we care about. This is the beginning of our
push to bring a united St. Louis to Jefferson City next year. Please come if

This ongoing class will evolve based on the desires of the participants. It will alternate weekly between "Getting the Story" a cooperative and practical skill-share for people interested in investigative journalism and "Words Found Here" a chance for writers to come together to share work for constructive critique and exploration of creative resources including READING! The first session June 28th will begin with "Getting the Story," sharing skills for investigative journalism. The 2nd session on 7/5 will be "Words Found Here," sharing skills for creative writing. Journalism and creative writing workshops will alternate weekly.
