Our regular scheduled meeting will be expanded to include endorsers. It
will be held on Thursday, April 12 at 7 pm. The meeting will be held at
the ACLU's new office, 454 Whittier at Olive (the Old Gaslight Square

The main agenda item will be discussion of our legislative strategy for

Woofstock 2007 is nearly here!
THIS Thursday, April 12th, at 9 p.m. come to the Way Out Club (2525 South Jefferson Avenue) and support the Benton Park West Dog Park Committee while enjoying an eclectic musical experience. Bands featured include Chico Massioni, The Maid Rites, and Forbidden Fruit Snacks.
There is a $10 cover to enter, with all funds raised from the cover charge helping us to bring a doggie play space to our part of the community. Beverages will be available for sale at the bar, with complimentary snacks also provided.

Christine A. Holtz is a multi-media artist graduating in May with her
M.F.A. in textiles from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
She received her B.F.A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in
December of 2003 with a concentration in both painting and textiles.
Christine A. Holtz Productions is a thesis exhibition of several
works created since the fall of 2004. Christine's work emphasizes the
absurdity of contemporary American consumer habits through the use of

Film Screening: Warhol's Chelsea Girls
Join us for a rare screening of Andy Warhol's iconic film Chelsea Girls, on Tuesday, May 1st at 7:30 pm.
Co-organized with Cinema St. Louis, the film will be shown in its original format, with two projections running simultaneously. The film will be screened outdoors, under the stars, in the Pulitzer's courtyard.

Congress is about to send an important bill to the White House—it would require the president to start bringing our troops home from Iraq this year. President Bush has said repeatedly he's going to veto it. It's outrageous. Most Americans support a timeline and he's standing in the way.
This will be a pivotal moment on Iraq—it's not clear what Congress or the president will do after the veto. We need to make clear that President Bush is really vetoing the will of the American people. And we need to tell Congress to hold firm.

Welcome to Cinco de Mayo St. Louis! Cherokee Street is once again happy to host the largest street celebration for Cinco de Mayo in St. Louis. This year's festival will feature the Rhythm Masters and Boogie Chyld on the main stage, authentic food and drinks from many of the delightful purveyors of fine Mexican cuisine that call Cherokee Street home, arts and crafts, corporate exhibitors, street entertainment, and parking shuttles. Come and be a part of the real St. Louis Cinco de Mayo where the celebration is about more than just a patio party.
The Gateway Greens will have a notary public @ CAMP to sign petitions to audit the City of St. Louis. Drop on by on your way to Cinco de Mayo down the street!
Also, Shangri-La Diner will be donating dinner to those who get over 50 signatures notarized during the Cinco de Mayo (Fifth of May) festival this Saturday. Even if you don't get 50 signatures, join us at Shangri-La Diner at 6 pm at 2201 Cherokee (at Missouri). The petition is for an audit of the City of St. Louis to find out where the Slay([search]) administration is spending lead poisoning prevention money.
