Donate to CAMP

From the very beginning, CAMP has been supported by members of the community through donations of time and money, small loans, and through our founding funders program. Specific projects have also been supported by grants from St Louis 2004 and others.

Ar present, we are still working hard to complete rehab work on the first floor of the building (intended for large event spaces for classes, speakers, films, etc. as well as the zine library and public computer facilities). The rehab work (and consequently a grand opening of the building) has taken longer than expected. Many parts of the building are open and thriving -- the housing coop, offices, bikeshop, and garden. However, because the building is not realizing its full potential yet, we are somewhat strained financially.

This is a critical time for CAMP. When we complete the first floor rehab work, we will be much more financially sustainable due to new resident non-profits and many more public events. During this time we very much need support from community members who want to see this project flourish.

There are a number of ways you can contribute:
  • Attend a fundraising event or help plan one. Check the CAMP calendar for upcoming events or come to a general CAMP meeting on the second Tuesday of every month, at 7:00 pm at the building. At the meeting you can form a committee to plan an event.

  • Become a Founding Funder. Founding Funders commit to a monthly donation of $10-$50 which is deducted directly from your bank account. This is particularly helpful from CAMP's perspective because it means monthly income that we can rely on to help pay bills until the building is fully open. You can commit to 6 months or more. Contact us for more info.

  • Give a one-time donation through our PayPal account using your credit card. Just click on the button below and let us know your donation is for CAMP in the comment box after you enter the credit card info.

  • Volunteer your time working on the building. No skills are required to be useful, but if you happen to be licensed to do plumbing or electrical work in the city then you could play a unique role. Work days are posted on the CAMP calendar , or you can contact us to arrange a day to volunteer.

  • Donate something on our wishlist.
