SWEAT Bike Classes in August

SWEAT, CAMP's bike shop, has received a grant to give a class in August.

The Bike Class will be every Tuesday and Thursday in August, 7pm-9pm. Registration date: August 2 at 7pm, or by email (green_at_commonsound.com). Kids ages 10 and up and adults of all ages are invited to participate. We will cover all basic bike systems by completely taking apart, cleaning/painting, and re-building a bike of the student's choice. The bike will be free to take home once it's complete (along with a helmet, lock, and basic tool set). The class is totally free, maximum 12 students.

Here's who we're looking for:
-Kids over age 10 who want to learn about bikes
-Adults who know about bikes and want to "teach"
-Adults who want to learn by building a bike (especially parents with children)
-Adults who want to casually help out during the class

There will be a special meeting Tuesday July 31 at 7pm for adults who want to teach/help-out. All others can show up August 2 at 7pm to register. All classes and meetings will be at CAMP in the backyard bike shop. 3026 Cherokee St @ Minnesota Ave.

If you're interested or know someone who might be, email me at green(at)commonsound.com or come to the bike shop on Saturday 1-3pm, or during adult open hours Thursday 7-9pm
